  • We would like to thank people for reposing their faith in us and electing us with majority.
  • In the last 10 months, there has been 125% productivity in Parliament.
  • The pressure of media that the responsibility during Parliament Session is beneficial for the nation.
  • I returned yesterday after visiting France, Germany and Canada.
  • During the trip, the speculations were around Rafale deal. But I would like to take the attention towards other important issues as well.
  • Every government in our country had earlier tried to achieve a breakthrough in civic nuclear deal but it did not work somehow.
  • No one was ready to give us fuel and technology for it.
  • For the first time, we have achieved a big breakthrough with France agreeing to give us reactor technology. Secondly, we will get uranium supply from Canada for five years.
  • When you have achieved such things, then you enter the next level of development.
  • There are more such important decisions that have been taken which you will know of once Sushma Swaraj speaks about it in the Parliament.
  • We are not able to associate ourselves with government'. We have been in the opposition, so it is present more in our DNAs.
  • Because of this our echo effect of good things is left out.
  • For the first time, a minister of the government was present to oversee the evucuations of Indians stranded in violence-hit Yemen.
  • I salute General VK Singh for it.
  • Even at 1 am Sushma Swaraj replied to tweets directed at her.
  • Have you seen Indian MEA working like that?
  • Since the day I became the Prime Minister, our effort has been towards making a difference in life of the poor.
  • But 'perverted minds' are spreading lies about Land Acquisition Bill.
  • I would like to congratulate Gen VK Singh and Sushma Swaraj for rescuing so many stranded people in Yemen and bringing them safely back.
  • Have you seen MEA working like that?
  • Those who were stranded were nurses and labourers.
  • Don't worry whether media is showing your photo or not as you have made a place in the heart of the people.
  • During the tenure of Congress or UPA government, the focus in Railways was on the needs of the rich people.
  • But this government is focusing on the needs of the poor in railways.
  • Place your trust in people and not anyone else. Interact directly with them.
  • For poor people, railways is the mode of travel for them.
  • Our focus is to to improve the quality of life for the common people and how to proceed in that direction.
  • Since the day I became the Prime Minister, it has been a government for the poor.
  • Place your trust in people and not anyone else. Interact directly with them.
  • After India's independence, the number of people without home has increased.
  • Is it wrong to dream that every poor person has a house, water, electricity, hospital?
  • We are working towards it.
  • Wasn't country facing corruption?
  • The reduction of prices in cement will help the poor in building their houses, government in building offices.
  • How much money we have spent from government's coffers doesn't decide whether something is being done for the benefit of the poor. It is decided on steps being taken to improve the lives of the poor people.
  • Our focus in 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' is to educate daughters of the minorities and poor communities who are deprived of education.
  • If the daughters of Muslim, Dalit, Adivasi families are uneducated, then the country cannot progress.
  • As a PM, I demand an end to female foeticide.
  • Our activities should not be judged in terms of politics but national policies.
  • When I say that farmers will get pension, then it is lauded. But when I say that every person in the country will get pension, then no one talks about it.
  • The money saved from gas subsidy will not go to government's coffers but will be used to provide gas cylinders to the poor people.
  • Over 4 lakh people have given up their gas subsidy which saves Rs 200 crore.
  • The crores of money which will be saves will not go to government's treasury.
  • But it will be used to help those poor women who become sick due to smoke of ‘chulha’, will provide them cylinders.
  • If one crore give up this subsidy, then they will stop using wooden chulhas and start using gas cylinders.
  • Banks have made PM's Jan Dhan Yojana a success.
  • We have made provisions for students so that they can take loan for education.
  • The neo-middle class does not want to go back to jhopdis. They want to live with dignity.
  • We want the purchasing power of villages to increase but should not be unproductive.
  • If the purchasing power of poor village increases, then it will also benefit cities.
  • Television channels show colour along with black and white images as people had forgotten what it used to be like. You also need to do the same. Tell people how things were and how they are now.
