New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid a visit to `Shauryanjali`, an exhibition being held to commemorate the golden jubilee of the 1965 India-Pakistan War, at Rajpath here.

The five-day exhibition showcasing major battle scenes in the 1965 war began on Tuesday. Manoeuvres by fighter jets would be a part of the commemoration event.

Due to the ongoing commemorative celebrations, Delhi Traffic Police have advised commuters to avoid the stretch of Rajpath between Janpath and Man Singh Road from September 15 to 20.

"For five days, starting from September 15, the stretch of Rajpath between Janpath and Man Singh Road will remain closed for the 1965 India-Pakistan war golden jubilee celebrations," police said on Monday.
