As NDA government completes its one year, senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia launched a scathing attack and said that Narendra Modi-led government is a “packaging and marketing sarkaar”.

New Delhi: As NDA government completes its one year, senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia launched a scathing attack and said that Narendra Modi-led government is a “packaging and marketing sarkaar”.

“We have seen only 'photo op' government,” he said while addressing the AICC press conference.

The Congress leader said that the Bharatiya Janata Party gave a lot of slogans before the elections but end up doing the opposite.

“BJP gave a lot of slogans before elections - Bhajpa ka kehna saaf, Har Kisaan ka karza maaf! But they do the opposite,” he said.

He added that BJP has only one slogan – 'Kisan Mukt Bharat'.

He said that there has been a budget cut of 50% in Women and Child Ministry and the concerning minister has written to the finance minister asking how will they “reduce malnutrition without funds”.

Scindia raised the issue of budget cut in NREGA and said that Rs 13,000 crore funds are still pending to be approved by the government.

He alleged that there has been reduction of 80% in the allocation of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan and 6,000 Model School scheme for backward districts started by UPA has been done away with.

Continuing with the attack, Scindia claimed that the institutional mechanism like CIC, CVC, Lokpal to tackle the menace of corruption has been uprooted.
