Kolkata: Chandra Kumar Bose, who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and will be contesting against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the West Bengal Assembly Elections, has said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has traits that match those of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Chandra Kumar Bose is the grandnephew of Netaji.
Speaking to the Economic Times, Bose said PM Modi shares some similarities with Netaji.
“I know it is not fair to compare Netaji with any politician, but I will not hesitate in saying that there are certain traits in him which match with Netaji's. I've always found Modiji very conclusive,” Bose told the newspaper.
“I want to instill the ideology of Netaji among the people. And that can only happen under the leadership of Narendra Modi,” he added.
Asked whether he has been made a 'scapegoat' with his candidature against Mamata Banerjee, Bose said it is always better to fight against a mass leader.
