New Delhi: The government's blanket ban on pornographic websites has triggered a debate that will get bigger with each unused MB of Internet bandwidth!

In a country where even trivial issues make people take opposing stances it was expected that the ban on porn issue will be ripped apart and examined in detail.

Yes! Ban Porn

Those who support the ban are convinced that the move will go a long way in making women feel secure in the country. Free access to porn is the single biggest trigger for sexual violence against women and more tragically on children, they say.

The logic? By seeing American porn stars carrying out novel sexual acts, the common man gets 'ideas' and he becomes eager to try it out himself. Also, children hit the web for porn, way before they even arrive at puberty – thereby, corroding their young minds.

No! Porn banned, will sex be banned next?

Hundreds of people have taken to the social media to protest against the ban on pornographic sites – there may be lakhs more who are against the move but their 'Indian sanskar' prevents them from joining the vocal league.

Their central argument is on the question of personal liberty. What an adult person does in his private space should be of no business to the government.

Also, they argue that a ban on porn will rob the common man of an avenue to release his sexual energy leading to more cases of rapes and sexual assault.
