  • The most important priority between India and Pakistan should be peace, especially among children and youth. I will struggle to bring about peace among children and youngsters in India, Pakistan and other countries: Kailash
  • Kailash Satyarthi said that what mattered more was the relation between the people of both the countries. He added that the citizen of both the countries must live in harmony and peace.
  • On being asked if both were aware about the stance of their countries' Premiers' attendance at the awards ceremony, Malala said that she had got no positive response from the PM of Pakistan and India on her invitation to the Nobel Prize Ceremony. She added that she would be happy if the PMs of both the countries talked for peace.

  • Dedicating the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize to all children, Satyarthi says, "This prize is very important for millions and millions of children who have been denied their childhood..As I am talking to you there are millions of children who are denied this freedom, we need to work for them".

  • Kailash Satyarthi starts by thanking the Norwegian committee and all its members. He then goes on to joke that how his relatives and friends were concerned about the weather and asked him, "Have you taken the jacket along?"

A day before they will be felicitated with the prestigious award, Nobel Peace Prize winners Kailash Satyarthi from India and Pakistan's Malala Yousufzai will on Tuesday share the stage to address a press conference at the Norwegian Nobel Institute in Oslo.

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2014 was awarded to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousufzai “for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.“

Satyarthi, 60, and Malala, 17, will share USD 1.1 million Nobel Peace Prize tomorrow.

Satyarthi's "Bachpan Bachao Aandolan" has saved almost 80,000 children from child labour, slavery and trafficking while Malala shot to fame after she was shot by Taliban for writing against them and promoting girl children's education in Pakistan.
