New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Vijay Sampla has come out in support of controversial godwoman Raadhe Maa.
Hindustan Times quoted Sampla as saying that Radhe Maa is not controversial at all. The MP from Hoshiarpur added that he respects Radhe Maa and her style of preaching.
Sampla also accepted that he had organised a ‘chowki’ (religious gathering) of Radhe Maa at his official residence in Delhi on July 17 this year.
As per the report, many prominent industrialists from Punjab and several BJP leaders had attended the function.
“Yes I organised a function at my official residence and I respect her since she has special divine powers. Moreover, she belongs to my constituency and is a voter of my area. How can I ignore her presence in Delhi?” Hit report quoted Sampla as saying.
The minister blamed the media for going overboard on the Radhe Maa issue.
