New Delhi/Mumbai: As a case has been registered under section 498A of the Indian Penal Code against Radhe Maa, the controversial 'godwoman' on Sunday defended herself. She even danced in a jubilant manner inside her ashram in Mumbai and introduced her family to the media.
In a picture perfect mode, Sukhwinder Kaur alias Radhe Maa was dressed up in her favourite colour 'red' and was seen dancing with her devotees inside the ashram. Many of her supporters were lifting her in their laps, also giving her pecks on the cheek.
Self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa arrived in Mumbai today and will depose before the police tomorrow in an alleged dowry harassment case.
While speaking exclusively to Zee News reporter Ashwin Pande, the controversial godwoman explained why she is not guilty. Here are some excerpts from the interview:
On being asked about the dowry harassment case, Radhe Maa introduced to the media, for the first time, her entire family and especially her daughter-in-laws – Megha and Manisha- calling them beautiful and filthy rich.
In her explanation, Radhe Maa said, “The complainant, Nikki Gupta, of the dowry harassment case is very poor. But she should know that if I have not take anything from my daughter-in-laws, who belong to royal families, then why will I take bribe from such a poor person who even has nothing to eat.”
“My younger son, who is in Thailand, is soon going to feature as a lead hero in one of the upcoming movies 'Ishk.com',” she added.
Radhe Maa further said, “I am unnecessarily being involved in this dowry harassment case.”
To prove her innocence, truth and simplicity, she reiterated a Sanskrit shloka: “Sanch Barabar Tap Nahin, Jhooth Barabar Pap. Jake Hriday Sanch Hai, Take Hriday Aap.”
Further rejecting an allegation, Radhe Maa said, “I never demanded helicopter or any luxury items from anyone.”
On being asked whether Radhe Maa demands anything from her followers who are rich, an overwhelming voice sounding 'NO' could be heard from here devotees.
Over advocate Falguni Brahmbhatt's claim that Radhe Maa lets her followers kiss her, the controversial godwoman said, “Check her background first and then you will come to know everything about her.”
Meanwhile, a close aide of Radhe Maa, came in front of the camera and sought explanation from Falguni whether she wears a mini-skirt in public or not.
“If she (Falguni) wears a salwar-suit in court, does she wear the same clothes at her home,” asked the close aide of Radhe Maa.
On the same issue, Radhe Maa said, “Get that person who made those pictures public, since we do not have any idea who did it.”
Surprisingly when being quizzed about why she didn't lodge a complaint against the above act, the self-styled godwoman said she has a direct connection with God and added that she has no grudges against any 'human-being'.
“God said he will take right decision for me,” Radhe Maa added.
Sukhwinder Kaur got into trouble after courting a controversy by posing in a red mini-skirt.
Earlier, an FIR was registered against her for allegedly instigating a woman's in-laws to harass her for dowry.
"A 32-year-old married woman lodged a complaint against her in-laws as well as Radhe Maa, claiming she is being harassed mentally and physically for dowry," said Mukund Pawar, Senior Inspector, Kandivali Police Station of Mumbai.
Radhe Maa is known for her lavish lifestyle and her high profile list of devotees that include TV actress Dolly Bindra, Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan.
She became a self-styled godwoman at the age of 23 and now delivers sermons at various places across India. Her followers believe that she is blessed with supernatural powers and can help them get through any trouble.
The 50-year-old, who has three children, has often been in news for all the wrong reasons.
