New Delhi: Terming the meeting of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi with street vendors as "political gimmick of a part-time politician", Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday said that such attempts would not benefit the Congress.

"It is just a political gimmick of a part-time politician. The Congress would gain nothing from such gimmicks and these attempts only show its political bankruptcy," Naqvi said while referring to a visit that Gandhi paid to street vendors in Raghubir Nagar area in West Delhi today.

Speaking further Naqvi, who is Minister of State in the Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs ministry said that the government would through dialogue and coordination try to reach to all parties in the upcoming monsoon session and try to make it a productive one.
