New Delhi: Just after Rahul Gandhi attacked the Narendra Modi-led NDA government in the Lok Sabha over Naga peace accord, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday termed the Congress vice president's claims as false and baseless.

Rajnath said Rahul's statement on Naga Peace accord in Lok Sabha today is completely false and baseless.

Accusing the Congress leader of misleading the House, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader tweeted: “I had several rounds of consultations with the PM on Naga peace process. I strongly condemn Shri Rahul Gandhi's attempt to mislead the House.”

While participating on the discussion on the motion of thanks to the President on his address to the joint sitting of parliament's two houses, marking the beginning of the budget session, the Amethi MP said, “The PM told Congress president Sonia Gandhi that he had solved the Nagaland problem and signed a historic accord. The Congress president asked us to check what had happened because none of our CMs had mentioned anything about the Naga accord. We called our North East CMs and they were stunned. They had not heard a word about any accord. What had the government signed?”

Rahul slammed the prime minister for his silence over the violence done with students and media persons at a Delhi court.
