Rajya Sabha to pass resolution against Justice Katju for calling Mahatma Gandhi 'British agent'

New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday is likely to pass a resolution against former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju's claim that Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was a British agent who did great harm to India.

Apart from alleging that Gandhi was 'a British agent', Justice Katju wrote in his blog that the former furthered the British policy of divide and rule.

He also described Gandhi's 'Satyagrah' movement as a 'nonsensical channel' that served British interests.
