Lucknow: BJP on Friday termed as "irresponsible and against the interests of the country" the statement of SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav's comment on Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit to the US.

BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai, in a release, condemned Samajwadi Party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav for his statement that the US has not invited Modi and he was going there on his own.

"At a time, when the foreign policy of the country is being praised all over, the SP leader's statement is irresponsible and against the interests of the country according to international diplomacy," Bajpai alleged.

He alleged that SP leaders were unable to absorb their momentary victory in the by-elections.

"Now the SP leaders have started saying that there is no power, road and water crisis in the state. Their misconception will be shattered in the next assembly elections," he said.
