Delhi: Keeping in view the high threat perception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, security agencies have discussed certain advisory regarding his address to the nation on August 15 with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

As per the Times of India, intelligence agencies and the Special Protection Group have advised that the PM should make his speech from within a bulletproof enclosure at Red Fort on Independence Day this time.

The Daily quoted sources as saying that that they hope that the PM will not ignore the advisory this time.

The report said that the threat perception to the PM was was 'extremely high'.

Last two years, PM Modi had done away with the bulletproof enclosure while giving his speech.

The Daily further quoted a senior officer as saying that the recommendation was not just because of the Kashmir unrest or the increasing infiltration bids from across the border.

He said that agencies had intercepted communication about the use of drones to breach the PM's security cordon.

Plus, the ISIS-led terror attacks across the globe was also a factor.

A few weeks ago, central intelligence agencies are said to have informed the SPG and anti-terror units about the possibility of coordinated attacks on August 15.

At the same time, possibility of lone-wolf attacks was also there.

Thus, the police have put in place an 'unprecedented security arrangement' this time.
