Sheena Bora murder case: Mumbai Police probes Sanjeev Khanna's bank accounts

The Mumbai Police are reportedly probing whether the murder of Indrani Mukerjea's daughter was financially motivated and checking bank details of her former husband Sanjeev Khanna.

Mumbai: The Mumbai Police are reportedly probing whether the murder of Indrani Mukerjea's daughter was financially motivated and checking bank details of her former husband Sanjeev Khanna.

Police teams are investigating Khanna's bank accounts in West Bengal, Guwahati and Jharkhand for possible clues, according to a news report in the Hindustan Times.

Indrani, the wife of former TV honcho Peter Mukerjea, was arrested by Mumbai Police on August 25 on charges of killing Sheena on April 24, 2012 along with her driver Shyam Rai and Khanna.

Sheena was killed on April 24, 2012 and her remains were discovered near the Pen forests on May 23, 2012.

Her skeletal remains recovered from the murder scene have been sent for forensic and DNA tests.
