Mumbai: As investigators waddled through an intriguing web of lies and deceit in the Sheena Bora murder case, the Mumbai Police brought main accused, Indrani Mukerjea, to the Khar Police station for interrogation on Saturday.
Peter Mukherjea, former Star CEO and husband of Indrani Mukherjea, was on Friday questioned in the mysterious Sheena Bora murder case whose probe gathered momentum with police interrogating several others including Indrani's son Mikhail and former husband Sanjeev Khanna, who it said played a role in the abduction and killing.
Indrani was arrested on August 25 on charges of killing Sheena on April 24, 2012 along with her driver Shyam Rai.
Earlier, a report published in Hindustan Times quoted Mumbai Police Commissioner as saying, "Indrani has proved to be a tough nut to crack even for a team of experienced interrogators as she has been skillfully answering the questions.
Her driver had claimed that Indrani had killed Sheena and that he had helped her in disposing of the body by dumping it in the forests of Raigad District.
The sensational murder case probe took a fresh turn on Friday night when the police claimed that Sanjeev Khanna confessed to his complicity in the crime during a joint interrogation of three accused.
Khanna has been charged with murder, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, destroying evidence and more. His mobile phone, laptop and passport have been seized but he has denied the police charges.
Suggesting a pre-planned conspiracy, police have said Indrani had recceed Pen area with her driver to pick the exact spot to dispose of her body a day before the actual killing.

Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria has maintained that Sheena was murdered on April 24, 2012. Her body was found on May 23 that year after Indrani's driver Shyam Rai revealed the murder site to police.
