New Delhi: With Congress appearing set to lose power both in Maharashtra and Haryana in 2014 Assembly Elections, party leaders have again started raising 'Bring Priyanka' slogans.
INTUC leader Jagdish Sharma Sunday led a group of people outside the Congress headquarters demanding Priyanka Gandhi's entry into active politics.
Raising slogans like 'Priyanka lao, Congress bachao', Sharma said party vice president Rahul Gandhi needs a capable associate.
“Rahul ji should take initiative and bring Priyanka Gandhi into politics. The nation sees reflection of Indira Gandhi in Priyanka,” he added.
It is not the first time that such a demand has been made.
'Bring Priyanka' slogans have been raised from time to time outside Congress headquarters whenever the party has lost an election.
However, Priyanka herself has denied that she was interested in joining active politics.
So far, Priyanka has restricted herself to campaigning for her mother Sonia Gandhi and brother Rahul Gandhi in their respective constituencies.
