Snag-hit British Airways flight to India diverted to Germany

New Delhi, Sep 5 (PTI) A city-bound British Airways flight with over 100 passengers onboard was diverted to Frankfurt after the pilot reported a snag in the Boeing 777-236 (ER) aircraft.
The flight BA-143 had departed from London's Heathrow Airport at 9.44 AM (local time) last morning and was scheduled to arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here at 10.50 PM (local time).
Confirming the diversion, a British Airways spokesperson said in statement today, "We are doing all that we can to help customers, and we will fly them back to London as soon as possible to re-start their journey to India."
Stating that the safety and security of the passengers was priority for the airline, the British Airways said, "We are looking after the customers while our highly trained engineers check the aircraft."
