AIIMS doctors were shocked, when a woman asked them to retrieve sperm of her dead husband.
The woman wanted his sperm so that she could have a baby, according to a report in TOI.
The couple tied the knot just a few years back and did not have a child.
Reportedly, the parents of the man also supported this strange request of the woman.
Eventually, the request was rejected as there are no clear guidelines on Post Mortem Sperm Retrieval (PMSR) system in India.
Now, AIIMS doctors have sought clarity on PMSR to handle such cases in future.
