Subramanian Swamy's piece of advice to Rahul Gandhi - Quit politics to save Congress future

Vadodara: A day after Rahul Gandhi said he will never stop fighting the "hateful and divisive agenda" of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Friday advised the Congress vice-president to quit politics to save the grand old party`s future.

On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi had told the Supreme Court that he had not blamed the RSS as an organisation for Mahatma Gandhi's assassination but only people linked to it and on Thursday, the Congress leader said he stands by his comments during his election speech at Sonale on March 06 last year.

Talking to news agency ANI, Swamy said that making `U-turns` on key issues of national importance is second nature to Rahul.

"He is a major coward and making U-turns is his second nature. I think that he has absolutely no political future and he should just quit from politics to save the future of Congress. Not even sure if he tweeted it himself, it was probably someone from his office," Swamy said.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly reacted to Gandhi's stand in the Supreme Court as also his tweet on the issue. It asked if Rahul Gandhi can be blamed for the crimes committed by Congressmen.

BJP spokesman Shrikant Sharma yesterday cited the murder cases of Bhanwari Devi in Rajasthan and Naina Sahani in Delhi in which Congress leaders were involved and said going by Rahul's logic, he could be blamed for the above-mentioned crimes.
