New Delhi: UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday called on Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan in the national capital.
Ban Ki-moon, who is on a three-day official visit to India, was the keynote speaker at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2015 on Sunday.
During his trip, Ban met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with whom issues related to climate change, environment and clean energy came up for discussion. The Prime Minister also highlighted the initiatives taken by the BJP government at the Centre in the clean and renewable energy sectors.
The UN Secretary General, while speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit in Gandhinagar, had also called for working towards a better and sustainable world.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had also called upon the UN Secretary General at Hyderabad House.
