New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday hosted an Eid Milan which was attended by heads of missions of several Islamic countries including Pakistan.
Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar and senior diplomats of the Ministry of External Affairs were present on the occasion.
Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit was among those seen talking to Swaraj.
India and Pakistan a had row last week over ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and International Border in which both sides had suffered casualties. Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had sent a box of mangoes to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi a few days back.
"Celebrating the spirit of peace & harmony after the Holy month of Ramzan, EAM @SushmaSwaraj hosts Eid Milan for HoMs," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
A lavish spread was laid out for the guests at the Eid Milan.
