New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday met new Maldivian Foreign Minister Mohamed Asim.
"India First! FM Mohamed Asim meets EAM @SushmaSwaraj on his 1st official visit abroad," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
Asim, formerly Maidives` High Commissioner to Bangladesh, was appointed the country`s Foreign Minister last month after Dunya Maumoon quit the post voicing opposition to the government`s plan to implement the death penalty.
