Amroha: Liquor is mother of all crimes and it should be banned through out the country, Social activist Swami Agnivesh on Saturday said, while addressing a conference here.

He also said that he will soon hold a rally to create awareness against consumption and manufacturing of liquor from Amritsar to Delhi under the banner of organisation 'Dharm Sansad'.

UP Cabinet Minister Mahboob Ali among others attended the conference organised by Jamiat-Ulama-i-Hind (JUH).

Mahboob promised that he will speak to SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and demand ban on liquor in the state in public interest.

Condemning terrorism throughout the world, the JUH said Islam never permitted attack on the innocent.

JUH secretary Maulana Mahmood Madani urged Muslims not to create differences among the society.

He said that women of the world are respectable for all communities and assault on them is crime against humanity.

Stressing on the similarities in religions, Agnivesh also said that people should pay respect to all religions.
