'Tolerance is in the blood of Hindus, never tried to crush other religions'

Mathura: Amid intolerance row, BJP leader and Union Minister on Saturday made a big statement about tolerance of people in Hindu community.

The Union Minister claimed that tolerance is in the blood of Hindus. Also, he said that Hindus 'never tried to crush other religions'.

"Some people are trying to create misunderstanding about Hindu religion; tolerance and cooperation with different sections of the society is in our blood," Nitin Gadkari said.

"We have never tried to crush other religions," Gadkari said at a religious function at Vatsalya Gram Centre in Vridavan.

Moreover, slamming the extremists, Gadkari also said, "Fundamentalists and terrorists are trying to eliminate our basic culture - which says live and let others live.
