New Delhi: An old video has resurfaced on social media showing Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee receiving a hug by young Narendra Modi.
The video was shot in 1998 when the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance came to power.
Modi, who is now the Prime Minister of India, was at that time a BJP activist.
According to BJP.org, Modi was entrusted with the responsibility of organising two crucial national events, the Somnath to Ayodhya Rath Yatra of LK Advani and a similar march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. The ascent of the BJP to power at New Delhi in 1998 has been attributed to these two highly successful events, substantially handled by Modi.
