Dehradun: With the ongoing Uttarakhand political crisis, it's a million dollar question - Who will be CM if BJP forms government in the state?
Here is the list of Uttarakhand CM probables, if BJP gets to form government in the hill state:-
Bhagat Singh Koshyari
This former CM of Uttarakhand is an RSS veteran. Koshyari served as National Vice President of BJP and party's 1st state president for Uttarakhand. He was CM of Uttarakhand from 30 October 2001 – 1 March 2002.
Currently, he is an MP from Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar constituency.
Media reports suggest that rebel Congress MLA Harak Singh Rawat has proposed the name of Bhagat Singh Koshyari for the chief minister's post.
Major General (Retd.) Bhuwan Chand Khanduri served as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand from 2007–2009 and 2011-2012. Currently, he is MP from Garhwal constituency of Uttarakhand.
Earlier, he served as a Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Surface Transport of the government headed by former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Khanduri is post-graduate in Defence Management.
He served in Corps of Engineers, Indian Army from 1954 to 1990.
Ajay Bhatt is the president of the BJP's Uttarakhand state unit. He is also the leader of opposition in Uttarakhand Assembly.
He has earlier served as Health Minister of Uttarakhand.
His name is also doing the rounds for the CM's post as he is now considered very close to BJP's top brass.
