New Delhi: Amid raging debate over JNU row, Delhi Police has issued a lookout notice for Umar Khalid in connection with the alleged "anti-India" sloganeering at the varsity campus.
Currently on the run, Umar Khalid is suspected of having raised anti-national slogans at a controversial event in JNU.
Here are some of the call details of Umar Khalid:-
- Umar Khalid made calls from two phone numbers; noteworthy, both the numbers are not issued in his name
- He made more that 800 calls in a week (3-9 Feb) before the 'anti-India' event
- He made 38 calls to Jammu and Kashmir
- 65 calls were received from Jammu and Kashmir
- He also made calls to Bangladesh
- Khalid went out of Delhi 17 times in one month
- There was a sudden increase in number for calls in Dec 2015
Security agencies are now connecting all the dots to find out if Umar Khalid had any terror links.
Umar Khalid is a PhD scholar at JNU and currently absconding.
