In a sad turn of events, a Zee Media reporter covering the case of self-styled godman Rampal, died in a road accident on Thursday.
New Delhi: In a sad turn of events, a Zee Media reporter covering the case of self-styled godman Rampal, died in a road accident on Thursday.
Shivam Bhatt, a young journalist, was killed near Kaithal on Kaithal-Chandigarh road when the car he was travelling in met with an accident.
Shivam was 24 years of age and is survived by his parents and one brother.
Reporter Rohit Khanna, cameraman Jaiveer Rawat and driver also sustained injuries in the incident.
All four were travelling to Chandigarh, where Rampal would be presented before the Punjab and Haryana High Court later today. The controversial godman was arrested last night from his ashram in Barwala in Hisar district.
Zee Media offers its heartfelt condolences to the family of Shivam and prays his soul may rest in peace.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also expressed his condolences. He tweeted:
