34 civil officers and 56 police personnel shifted in J&K

In a major reshuffle, Jammu and Kashmir government today shifted 34 civil officers and 56 police personnel, including ten deputy commissioners.

Srinagar: In a major reshuffle, Jammu and
Kashmir government today shifted 34 civil officers and 56
police personnel, including ten deputy commissioners.

The transfers were approved at a cabinet meeting, chaired
by Omar Abdullah, a official spokesman said.

Deputy Commissioners of Kupwara, Anantnag, Leh, Kargil,
Bandipora, Shopian, Doda, Ganderbal, Kulgam and Rajouri were
shifted, he said.

Four DIGs were promoted as IGs while five SSPs were
promoted as DIGs, the spokesman said.
