36th batch of 507 pilgrims leave for Amarnath

The 36th batch of 507 pilgrims today left for the Amarnath yatra from here amid tight security, police said.

left for the Amarnath yatra from here amid tight security,
police said.

As many as 321 men, 77 women, 10 children and 99
sadhus left from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp here around
0500 hours this morning in a cavalcade of 16 vehicles for the
13,500-feet high cave shrine situated in south Kashmir
Himalayas.

With today`s batch, as many as 77,666 pilgrims have left
Jammu in 36th batches for their onward journey to the cave
shrine.

Meanwhile, third batch of 916 pilgrims today left from
here to Budha Amarnath in Mandi tehsil of Poonch district.

The batch comprising 588 male, 311 females and 17
children left in a fleet of 24 vehicles from the base camp at
Bhagwati Nagar around 0545 hours this morning, police said,
adding the pilgrims have crossed SunderBani area of Rajouri
district.
