Jammu: Sixty two pilgrims were among 105 people injured in separate road mishaps in Jammu, police said.

In the first mishap, a matador, carrying 43 passengers to Rajouri from Manjakote, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Kakora belt of Rajouri district this morning, they said.

In the mishap, 37 persons were injured, who have been hospitalised, they said adding the vehicle which has a seating capacity of 16 people was overloaded with 43 passengers.

In another accident, a Jammu-bound SUV, carrying Amarnath pilgrims, collided with a Srinagar-bound truck on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Kol Kandoli on the outskirts of Jammu city today, they said adding that nine pilgrims were injured and have been hospitalised.

In the third mishap, a bus carrying Mata Vaishnodevi pilgrims skidded off the bridge and rolled down on Jammu-Panthakote highway at Dayalachack area in Kathua district last evening, they said.

In the mishap, 54 pilgrims were injured, they added.

In another mishap, an SUV collided with a load carrier on a highway at Samba resulting in injuries to eight persons last night, they said.
