Jammu: The main opposition party PDP
along with a member of the ruling NC on Wednesday staged a dharna in
the J&K Legislative Assembly demanding airlifting of stranded
persons from areas of North Kashmir.

Abdul Haq Khan (PDP) and N A Gurezi (NC) asked the
government what it has done to rescue people stranded in the
inaccesible areas of Lolab and Gurez belts of North Kashmir.

As there was no response from the government, they
trooped into the well and sat on a dharna.

Later, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ali
Mohammad Sagar on behalf of the government assured the members
that the problem will be solved soon.
