Amit Shah asks BJP workers to join in relief work in J&K

Expressing concern over flood situation in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP President Amit Shah has asked party MPs, MLAs and workers in the state to join in relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas.

 New Delhi: Expressing concern over flood situation in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP President Amit Shah has asked party MPs, MLAs and workers in the state to join in relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas.

Shah also condoled the loss of lives caused by the raging floods and said all efforts would be made to help the people affected by the crisis, BJP said in a statement.

Party general secretary J P Nadda said BJP MPs, MLAs from all northern states -- Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi -- and the Union Territory of Chandigarh have been asked to help the relief and rescue operations.

"We have asked all party workers to contribute and collect relief material for the victims of flood in Jammu and Kashmir," Nadda said.
