Another batch of devotees leave for Amarnath shrine

Amid tight security, the 13th batch of 1,927 pilgrims on Wednesday left for the Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas from the Jammu base camp.

Jammu: Amid tight security, the 13th batch of 1,927 pilgrims on Wednesday left for the Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas from the Jammu base camp.
The batch, including 1,345 men, 363 women and 20 children, left in a convoy of 61 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu at 4:10 AM, police said.
As many as 23,162 pilgrims have so far gone from Jammu to the Amarnath shrine.
