Army jawan injured in militant firing in Kashmir

 An army jawan was injured on Wednesday when militants opened fire on a patrol party in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

Srinagar: An army jawan was injured on Wednesday when militants opened fire on a patrol party in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

"One army jawan was injured in militant firing on an army party at imam sahib Shopian at around 7.30 pm," police said.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched house to house searches to track down the militants, they said. PTI MIJ
