Avalanche kills four armymen in Leh, leaves two missing

New Delhi: An avalanche on late Friday evening hit an Army convoy in Leh killing four soldiers and leaving two injured.

Three Army vehicles were struck by a wall of snow at remote Changla village in Leh district after which two soldiers have been reported missing.

Rescue operations are underway to locate the missing jawans. Spokesman of Army's northern command Col SD Goswami said that those killed in the incident were in a critical condition when rescued and later succumbed.
