BJP asks govt to give free hand to security forces in Kashmir
Terming the volatile situation in the valley as a problem of insurgency aided and abetted by Pakistan, BJP today asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to give a free hand to the security forces.

the valley as a problem of insurgency aided and abetted by
Pakistan, BJP today asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to
give a free hand to the security forces to bring the law and
order situation there back to normal.
"Free hand should be given to the security forces to
deal with militancy so that the worsening situation is brought
back to normal. Bandh call supported by BJP is to warn
government in this regard", state BJP spokesman Ramesh Arora
told reporters here today.
Charging the Abdullah government with failure on all
fronts, he said it had failed particularly in controlling law
and order which had slipped to a dangerous levels.
"We are fighting a proxy war for the past many years
and it is not a simple law and order problem but the problem
of insurgency aided by Pakistan, he said.
Announcing the party`s full support to Jammu bandh
called by the Sangarsh Samiti, he said the party appeals to
the public to understand the gravity of the situation and make
the programme successful.
"We are of the opinion that Amarnath Yatra is a symbol
of integrity of the nation and should continue. We appreciate
the government decision that the Yatra will continue and full
protection will be provided to pilgrims," he said.
