Jammu: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Friday
launched a special fund raising drive in Jammu and Kashmir.
"We have launched Vishesh Sahyog Nidhi and Aajiwan
Sahyog Nidhi campaigns in the state to raise funds for the
party," state BJP President Shamsher Singh Manhas said during
a function at party headquarters here.
"It is essential that all units of the organisation
are constantly operational for which it is must for the
party to have four robust components Karyakarta (workers),
Karyakram (programme), Karayalaya (office) and Kosh (fund),"
Manhas said that under Vishesh Sehyog Nidhi scheme,
anyone can make one time contribution of rupees one lakh,
while under Aajiwan Sehyog Nidhi scheme the donors can
contribute rupees one thousand, rupees five thousand or rupees
ten thousand annually, he said.
This contributed amount will be deposited in the bank
as "fixed deposit", Manhas adding that that the interest
earned on it will be used to meet the day to day expenses of
mandals, districts and state office.
"The BJP stands committed towards bringing purity,
transparency and accountability in public life, he said.
