Jammu: BJP in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday said it has decided to launch an agitation and will continue it till Chief Minister Omar Abdullah withdraws his statement on accession of the state with India.
"BJP will not tolerate such type of irresponsible statements and have decided to launch an agitation in whole of the state, which will continue till Omar Abdullah tenders unconditional apology to public and withdraw his statement (on accession)," state BJP spokesperson Ramesh Arora said in a statement here.
"Omar`s statement tentamounts to internationalise the
issue and give it a legal cover. It has endorsed the cause of separatists and secessionists" he said.
He said the central leadership of BJP is also ready to take up this matter seriously at all levels and will also raise the issue in the Parliament vigorously. Besides, the
party legislators will also raise this issue in the coming
session of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, he added.
