Jammu: The BJP on Tuesday warned the Centre
against any "hasty" step on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

"Any reversal of the integration process or taking any
hasty decision by the central government against national
interest cannot be tolerated," Leader of the BJP Legislative
Party Chaman Lal Gupta told reporters after submitting a
memorandum to Governor N N Vohra after commencement of the
Assembly`s budget session on Monday.
He lashed out at Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his
statement on the floor of the House on October 6 last year in
Srinagar on the issue of accession of J&K.

"This is against the spirit of Constitution of the
state. Pakistan has not locus standi in J&K and its position
is clear that of an aggression," he said.
"It is astonishing that Home Minister P Chidambaram
did not found anything objectionable in the statement of the
Chief Minister," Gupta said and claimed that it could be
because he wanted to save the Congress-NC coalition in the
state.
