Jammu: A blast was allegedly triggered from across the LoC to target flood-lighting along Indo-Pak border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir Friday.

Some elements planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Indian territory to target under-construction flood-lighting in Mangu Chak forward area in Samba district early today, a senior BSF officer said.

There was a blast around 0915 hours, in which there was no loss of life or injury to anyone, he said, adding the flood-lighting system was not damaged.

BSF officials rushed to the spot to investigate the blast, he said.
