Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against a government employee who had allegedly duped a person on the pretext of providing government jobs to his relatives, police said.
The chargesheet against Agriculture Department employee Abdul Majeed Dar was filed in a special court here for allegedly duping Abdul Rashid Mangloo of Rs 1.40 lakh with a promise to secure jobs for his son and nephew in the department, he said.
Such fraudulent incidents have increased over the years, a police spokesman said, adding that in some such cases even fake appointment orders have been provided to some gullible people.
