New Delhi: The Congress party on Saturday said that the BJP-PDP collision government in Jammu and Kashmir is going `soft` on separatists, over the recent Pakistan and ISIS flag waving in the state.
"Since the Mufti-BJP government has come in J&K, these incidents have been coming in front of us continuously. After the Government was formed in J&K, Mufti had thanked the separatists for a peaceful election. This proves that they are going soft on the separatists," Congress leader Shobha Oza said while addressing the media.
Pakistan and ISIS flags were waved in Srinagar today during the protest over hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani`s detention.
The police personnel had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the protestors, who pelted stones at the men in uniform, to vent their ire over Geelani`s house arrest.
Geelani and several other separatist leaders have been put under house arrest in the city.
