Doctor suspended after patient`s death in Doda

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday
suspended a doctor who was absent when a patient died due to
want of medical care in Doda district of the state, Health
officials said.

Shaheena Begum, wife of Fiyaz Ahmed, was admitted to
Bhaderwah hospital in a critical condition and failed to get
medical treatment due to absence of the doctor at the hospital
last night, they said.

Relatives and villagers resorted to protest
demonstration in view of the death of patient and later
Additional Deputy Commissioner suspended Doctor Anil Kumar for
remaining absent from the hospital.
