Doon International School (DIS), the renowned school from Dehradun, has opened its branch here for the students of Kashmir Valley.

According to the information available on the website of the school, the Doon International School Srinagar, will be only second branch of the educational institute outside Dehradun. The other branch operates in Mohali.

Chairman, Doon International School Srinagar, Showkat Hussain Khan today said it was his endeavour to bring quality education for students of the Valley so that they can compete in all fields at national level.
"The admission process will begin tomorrow and we will be following the CBSE academic calendar," Khan said.

Among the facilities at the school, each classroom will have interactive boards equipped with latest technology. The school campus has been made a Wi-fi zone.
The school buses have been installed with bus tracking system which would help parents keep track of their wards.

The students will be provided with smart ID cards loaded with chips that will enable school to keep track of the students` location, Khan added.
