Pulwama: Security forces on Saturday evening killed a terrorist in an encounter in Pulwama district in south Kashmir.

The terrorist was neutralised in Gundpora village of Pulwama by security forces after they received a tip-off on presence of ultras there.

The terrorists holed themselves up in a house when the security forces came to search for them.

While one terrorist was killed, the other reportedly managed to flee.

The slain terrorist was identified as Rakib Bashir.

The report quoted police sources as saying that Bashir had joined Hizbul Mujahideen after leaving the force.
