Examination of witnesses begins in Kashmir recruitment case

The examination of witnesses in the sensational Kashmir Recruitment case of October 2008 began in the NIA court here on Tuesday.

Kochi: The examination of witnesses in the
sensational Kashmir Recruitment case of October 2008 began in
the NIA court here on Tuesday.

Abdul Rehaman, father of Mohammed Fayiz, who was among the
four Keralites who were killed by security forces in Kashmir,
and brother-in-law Abdul Nazer recognised his photograph in
the court today.
NIA court judge S Vijay Kumar, showed the photograph of
the deceased, which was recognised by the family members.

Fayiz`s father said his son had said he was going to
Bangalore in search of job in 2008 and was never seen after
that.

Pakistani national Abdul Rehaman has been listed as 24th
accused in the case being probed by the National Investigation
Agency (NIA).

The NIA had produced photographs of the four killed in
the encounter and copies of the statement of witnesses who
identified the deceased accused submitted the same to the
court on Nov 16.
After examining the same, the court had directed
examination of relatives of the accused who had identified the
bodies with the help of photographs.
