Fire destroys two camp tents for yatra pilgrims

No one was hurt after two tents were gutted in a fire at Sheshnag halting station along Pahalgam-Amarnath route in Anantnag district.

Srinagar: No one was hurt after two tents
were gutted in a fire at Sheshnag halting station along
Pahalgam-Amarnath route in Anantnag district of south Kashmir,
police said on Thursday.

Pilgrims putting up in the tents at 3718-metre high
Sheshnag camp escaped unhurt in the incident that took place
last night, police spokesman said.

The camping station is 28 km from the base camp Nunwan
in Pahalgam.

The fire broke out in the tent owned by Maisar Ahmad
Matoo at Block C of the camp and spread to another tent owned
by Abdul Ahad.
