The People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday criticised Pahalgam MLA Altaf Ahmad Kaloo for his alleged misbehaviour with public servants, and added that the state government will soon start a sensitisation course for its elected members in order to prevent such incidents in future.

Jammu: The People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday criticised Pahalgam MLA Altaf Ahmad Kaloo for his alleged misbehaviour with public servants, and added that the state government will soon start a sensitisation course for its elected members in order to prevent such incidents in future.

PDP spokesperson Naeem Akhtar was reacting to the Kaloo's alleged misconduct while interacting with Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA) CEO Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and other officials.

"We have this orientation course, sensitisation course for legislators. There are 42 new legislators coming to the assembly for the first time. We have organised lectures for the new legislatures by the senior leaders," Akhtar said.

"The officer has lodged an FIR. Beyond that, it is in the purview of the law, and it will take its course," he added.

Last week, Kaloo's conduct led to Bhat lodging an FIR with the police, reporting the incident.
