Four arrested for decamping with police weapons

Two policemen, along with two others, were arrested on Monday for allegedly deserting their duties and decamping with weapons provided to them in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

others, were arrested on Monday for allegedly deserting their
duties and decamping with weapons provided to them in Kulgam
district of south Kashmir.

"We have arrested two SPOs and two others who had
absconded with 4 AK series rifles and other ammunition on
August 9," Superintendent Police Kulgam, Mubasir Latiefi said.

SPO Gul Mohammad, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Ganie, Shakeel Ahmad
Bhat and Bashir Ahmad Bhat were hiding in an orchard, police
said.

Four AK 47 rifle, 15 AK magazines, 435 AK rounds, and
2 grenades were recovered from them.
